The Fort Hill Gardens / Esperanza Trust Tenants Association reconvened in September to discuss maintenance and management issues at the building. When the building's previous owner attempted to illegally terminate the building's Section 8 contract, MAHT worked with the tenants association to preserve the building as long-term affordable housing. This time around, tenants discussed water leaks, mold, burst boilers, and damaged possessions, among other issues, throughout the development. MAHT and the FHTA will continue to work over the next few weeks to meet with management and the owner and advocate for these much needed repairs!
