A broad coalition of groups have supported the $5 million proposal for housing first to help house the homeless. One way to fund this would be to earmark new tax revenue from million dollar condos like Millennium.

MAHT, SOS8 and a coalition of 29 groups have continued to advocate for this proposal including getting the support of 10 of the 13 councilors. Mayor Walsh has not included this in his budget.
