Georgetowne Homes is a community of almost 1000 town homes in Hyde Park. MAHT have worked with the tenant group Georgetowne Tenants United since 2006. Some of the efforts over the years have included, attempts to continue the Section 8 contract, mold and water leak surveys, and voter engagement. In March of 2021, 123 tenants received eviction notices due to back rent. Later that year the tenant group met with Dara Kovel, the CEO of Beacon, the management company for Georgetowne. She assured tenants that all eviction cases had been dropped and no tenants were being evicted because of this.
